Ever since learning about the effects of trail and then trying a 46mm offset fork and feeling the benefits for myself. I have been disappointed with with the majority of new 27.5+/29er bikes that I have tried due to their poor handling on the fast and technical terrain that I ride. 

Now I have to ability to ride all the offset options that Rock Shox offer back to back and confirm that a shorter offset is better for pretty much everything and any negatives are far outweighed
