What size wheels does the Bergsra take?

The Bergsra can be run as a full 29er or in a mixed-wheel mullet setup. With a Max tyre size of 29x2.5 in the rear, built for UK winter riding there is good mud clearance even in the shortest chainstay setting.

Can I run a dual crown fork?

Yes. The frame is built to handle the extra load from dual crown forks with a reinforced top tube and braced head tube area. No worries about voiding your warranty here.

Is the frame easy to service?

Very. The Bergsra is designed for real-world maintainability. Linkage bearings are easily accessible, and we supply the tools and spares needed to keep things running. Bearings are standard and easy to source, while frame hardware is oversized and doesn't require special tools.

We’re a small team, usually either building bikes or out riding them, so replies might take a day or two. Thank you for your patience—we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. Can I choose a custom colour for my frame?

Yes. We offer a custom powder coat colour option for an additional £100. If you have a specific colour in mind, get in touch and we’ll work it out.

Is paint protection available?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer a factory-fitted PPF (Paint Protection Film) kit in your choice of gloss or matte finish for £100. It’s applied during final assembly to key wear areas.

Are there any custom details available?

Accepted Answer

You can add custom engraving to the bottom bracket shell and tool wrap plate for a personal touch.
 You can also choose anodised hardware colours to complement your paint scheme.

Can I choose my suspension?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer a choice of suspension from different brands, and each shock or fork is tuned specifically for the rider and intended use. Or we can supply the frame without a shock, please get in touch for full pricing and details.

Can I request custom geometry?

Accepted Answer

No. Custom geometry and sizing are not available.
The Bergsra frame is already highly adjustable, with modular dropouts, adjustable chainstay length, and flip chips — making it easy to fine-tune for a wide range of rider sizes and preferences.
